Kraus Hamdani Aerospace Delivers K1000ULE Unmanned Aircraft Systems to Panama Through U.S. Government Donation

Expanding persistent airborne capabilities to strengthen border security, maritime awareness, and transnational threat monitoring
Kraus Hamdani Aerospace (KHA) announced the delivery of four K1000ULE long-endurance unmanned aircraft systems to Panama’s Ministry of Public Security through a U.S. Government donation, with support from Advanced Engineering Solutions and Services (AES2). The delivery expands Panama’s ability to monitor remote borders, safeguard strategic maritime corridors, and generate early warning against transnational threats.
The K1000ULE systems will provide Panama’s National Aeronaval Service with a persistent airborne capability designed to support long-range intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions across complex and remote environments. With extended endurance, electric propulsion, and modular payload capabilities, the platform enables operators to maintain continuous awareness across remote areas where monitoring challenges are greatest.

Alongside the aircraft delivery, KHA completed a training program for newly certified Panamanian drone pilots. The U.S.-funded program provided operators with the skills required to deploy, operate, and sustain the K1000ULE systems, establishing the foundation for Panama’s unmanned aerial systems capability.
“Persistent airborne capability gives operators the ability to maintain awareness, support coordinated operations, and make informed decisions across challenging environments,” said Fatema Hamdani, Co-Founder and CEO of Kraus Hamdani Aerospace. “The K1000ULE was designed to provide long-duration coverage, operational flexibility, and reliable performance when missions require sustained presence.”
The K1000ULE is the world’s longest-endurance fully electric Group 2 unmanned aircraft system, redefining what is possible within a small, field-deployable platform. The system provides operators with extended time on station while supporting long-duration airborne missions from a field-deployable system. The platform has been operationally proven across defense, maritime security, and critical infrastructure missions worldwide.

The delivery of the K1000ULE systems and completion of operator training establish a new persistent airborne capability for Panama’s National Aeronaval Service, enabling Panamanian operators to deploy and operate the system in support of border security, maritime awareness, and transnational threat monitoring missions.
